That's such a childish way of putting it. No, this is really more a case of...soulmates, shall we say. And rectifying a cruel twist of fate that separated us.

No, no, almost the opposite in fact. You see, I almost died in a tragic accident, back in our college days, and it left me ill and hospital bound for years afterwards...during which time the man who caused the accident in the first place swept her away while I was left to die alone.
