Ah, yes, of course. I'd be more than happy to help you decode the books, if that's what you wish to do.
[ Vlad doesn't see much point in doing so but if this is how Steven wants to waste his time, then apparently he's going to fucking help him as hard as he can with it. Plus, it can't be that hard. After all, Vlad is very smart. ]
Yeah, it's at least something to fill in the time if nothing else.
[ It's just too bad that apparently, there's no key to decoding them -- and in fact, they're not even that important. Turns out they really were there just for atmosphere, probably.
But it all works out just fine doesn't it! Since Steven takes this opportunity, shuffling around like he's doing the same.
Until abruptly, a hand touches Vlad's head from the side, acting as a hold to keep him in place while he aims to jab a kitchen knife right into his neck from the opposite side. Choo choo it's violent murder time! He'll pull at that knife to leave a bleeding gash behind rather than stabbing and leaving it in there, if it happens then it's doubtful Vlad could reasonably stab him back but, hey. You know.
Steven doesn't even say anything? Silent, but also just the aura... ]
Vlad makes a very inelegant choking sound as the knife tears into him and caves inwards, crumpling over the desk. He barely manages to look over his shoulder at the offending slaughterer and croaks out: ]
[ He's smiling about it, like he can't help himself.
And for hilarity, and also because I got reminded it's 100% Effort Week, Steven fixes his grip on the knife and goes in for a second stab in the throat. There is just no mercy here whatsoever. ]
[ Vlad crumples under the force of the stab, blood pouring out his throat and all over himself as he falls to the ground. It is all he can do in his final dying moments to look up at Steven's face and see that grin. ]
The expression melts off once Vlad is down, though, instead simply becoming quietly contemplative. Well, he's done it, and he really could just leave him here... but he and Law had a conversation about how Vlad is, and how he could very well come back to try to one up them yet again. That there needed to be a more, let's say, permanent way to keep him down.
God, he still really wants to break every single bone one by one from his fingertips to his arms and the same for his legs for setting Law on fire, but he's restrained.
(I guess it also counts as revenge for killing Steven? Though we're it not for the whole Law thing, he wouldn't have bothered with that.)
And now He will go about with the initial plan (he just needed Vlad to be out cold first but something told him he has to murder twice), which effectively consists of unceremoniously taking Vlad outside, wrapping him up in very heavy coat(s???) that would be weighted and troublesome when wet, anchoring the pockets with stones and rubble. He works fast, he watched and practically counted the seconds to how long it took for Law to revive. He's getting it done before Vlad can fully get back up and retaliate.
And then effectively rolling him out into the blood pool lmao goodbye! Maybe it won't keep him down forever, but it's close enough! ]
